Abel Getachew is a junior from Raleigh, North Carolina studying Operations Research and Information Engineering (ORIE). On campus, he is involved in the National Society of Black Engineers and the ORIE leadership team, while also being the team lead of a research group working for Mars Wrigley through the ORIE department. This past summer, he interned at a local financial advisory firm. Outside of school, Abel enjoys trying different restaurants and cafes, watching sports, and playing ping pong.
